 Description:

I have two litters for sale.  The older was born Nov 18 and is purebred Samoyed.  12 of 12 survived!  It is a first time dam, Kringa, who is 5 ½ years old.  I've dewormed them 3 times but no shots yet (I think shots are overdone and I try to slow that down a little).  

The younger litter, born Dec 16, is ¾ Samoyed.  7 of 7 survived.  It is a second time dam, Gidget, who is 3 ½ years old.  Gidget's sire (she's from an accidental litter of someone who bought a female Samoyed pup from me years ago) was a farm dog who was a “Hangin Tree Cow Dog”:  these are 3/8 Border Collie, 2/8 Kelpie, 2/8 Australian Shepherd, and 1/8 Catahoula (state dog of Louisiana, and NOT part wolf).  I've dewormed them once so far.

The sire (of both litters) is of course a purebred Samoyed and is onsite, as are the dams.  His sire (the paternal grandsire) is a Russian import belonging to another breeder.  There is a chance that some of the younger litter were sired by another purebred Samoyed I have on site.

The purebreds cost $1200 and the ¾ breds cost $900.

These are the first litters I've had in over 2 years, though I've been breeding Samoyeds for over 11 years.

I'm a retired MD (Univ of Nebraska 1980) and Harvard graduate (BA cum laude 1977).

I'm concerned about the importance of the Samoyed dog in national emergencies and would favor buyers who plan not to sterilize the dogs.
